On Passion + Ignition

Lately I’ve been pondering the phrase “business in the front, party in the back” and thinking about how this prioritizes seriousness and attempts to hide joy.
Venus retrograde in Leo is not hiding joy; it is amplifying it loudly.
The concept of party is born from passion, and this passion can burn infinitely once it is wholeheartedly ignited.
☀️🔥 RIGHT NOW:
The Moon approaches the South Node — their first meeting in Libra now that the nodes have moved onto a fresh axis.
Venus rules the Moon and South Node in Libra — from her stationary position at 28° Leo now that she has moved retrograde and now copresent the Sun who is back home in Leo.
This is a first glimpse into how this Venus retrograde story is informing our beginning experiences with this new nodal transit. Venus went from ruling a hungry North Node in Taurus to ruling a weary South Node in Libra. Talk about a whirlwind (and Mars is having the opposite transition of nodal rulership, but that’s a story for another day).
Something you've been craving and moving towards might be exhausting you. A desire you feel may be asking you how much energy you’re willing to devote to it — a question of intention and of commitment.
☀️🔥 PASSION FOR PARTY:
Why does anyone plan a party? There is something worth celebrating.
Why does anyone do anything? There is passion in their heart that inspires action.
Passion can be defined as many things: “fervor, enthusiasm, ardent affection, an outbreak of anger, sexual desire, deep interest.”
The one thread that ties all of this together? The emotion being intense enough to rock you out of stillness and get you moving.
Passion is a feeling so deeply riveting that you can’t help but do something about it when you let yourself fully dive into the experience.
☀️🔥 GETTING MOVING:
Passion can be felt for: a person, an animal, a song, a laugh, a summer breeze, a job opportunity, and the list never ends.
The source will vary; the feeling remains pure.
Passion for serving others is wonderful, admirable, beautiful. And it still won’t hit the same unless you’re serving your own heart first. You deserve your passion most.
When you move from a place of genuine passion, your world is set ablaze.
It turns into ignition when the flames licking at your toes can’t be tamed any longer. It turns into ignition when you let the wildfire of your insides emerge. It turns into ignition when you express exactly what you desire and give yourself the radical permission to move towards it.
Venus is asking you to look in your heart and see what fills you with so much passion that you must ignite.
Ruling the South Node, Venus is reminding you that this passion must serve your own heart above all else.
Currently being highlighted by the Moon, your body already holds the answers that you seek.
